An Australian Cryonics Facility
For some years, Philip Rhoades (who also happens to be the Execuive Officer of the CAA) has been planning a Cryonics storage facility outside the NSW Country town of Cowra (about 5 hours drive West of Sydney). The permission for this development is on the basis that it will be a family facility. However due to delays in the development of other commercial, subsidising organisations, no buildings have yet been constructed on the 50 acre site.
More recently, a number of other people have come forward with a more ambitious plan for a larger facility. This facility, if it goes ahead, will not be controlled by the CAA but a number of CAA members will be associated with it.
